This guide will cover how to troubleshoot common issues when connecting your Airbnb account to Smoobu.
Issue #1: My Airbnb account is connected to another Smoobu user
Context: An Airbnb account can only be connected to one Smoobu account at a time. To connect it here, you first need to disconnect it from the other Smoobu account.
What you will see:
How to fix:
- Log in to the other Smoobu account.
- Go to Channels → Edit Airbnb (✏️ icon)
- Click Disconnect accounts.
- If multiple Airbnb accounts are connected, select the one you want to disconnect.
- Once it’s disconnected, return to your Smoobu account and connect the Airbnb account again.
Note: If you are unsure which Smoobu account the Airbnb account is currently connected to, or if you are unable to locate it, please contact Customer Service here and our team will be happy to help you identify and disconnect it.
Issue #2: I am a co-host and connected my account, but can't see the listings in Smoobu
What you will see:
Context: To connect your Airbnb listings to Smoobu, you must use the Airbnb account of the listing owner. It is not possible to connect listings using the account of a co-host or hosting team.
How to fix:
- Log out of any Airbnb accounts in your browser.
- Log in with the Airbnb account of the listing owner (the person who originally created the listings).
- Navigate to Channels → Edit Airbnb (✏️ icon) in Smoobu.
- Click Connect Accounts to start the connection flow again
Issue #3: My Airbnb account is connected my former PMS
What you will see:
Context: An Airbnb account can only be connected to one channel manager / PMS at a time. To connect it here, you first need to disconnect Airbnb from the other system.
How to fix:
- Log into Airbnb
- Go to your Airbnb account settings > Privacy (link here)
- Scroll down to Connected Services and disconnected your prior PMS / Channel Manager
- Navigate back to Smoobu → Channels → Edit Airbnb (✏️ icon) in Smoobu.
- Click Connect Accounts to start the connection flow again
Issue #4: I can't connect my Airbnb account because Airbnb says I am missing a profile picture
What you will see:
Context: To connect your Airbnb listings to Smoobu, you need a profile picture on your Airbnb account.
How to fix:
- Log in to your Airbnb account.
- Go to your Profile.
- Click Edit next to About Me and add or update your profile picture.
- Return to Smoobu: Channels → Edit Airbnb (✏️ icon)
- Click Connect Accounts to restart the connection process.
Issue #5: My listings are snoozed and not showing in Smoobu
Context: Airbnb listings must be live and bookable (not unlisted or snoozed) to connect to Smoobu.
What you will see:
How to fix:
- Log in to your Airbnb account and go to your Listings.
- Open the listing editor for the affected property.
- Click Settings → Preferences → Listing Status, and set it to Listed.
- Return to Smoobu → Channels → Edit Airbnb (✏️ icon)
- Click Connect Accounts to restart the connection process.
Issue #6: I was not redirected to the page on Airbnb to allow the connection to Smoobu
Context: Sometimes, when using a VPN, certain browser extensions, or an ad blocker, you may not be redirected to the page required to authorize the connection to Smoobu.

How to fix:
- Disable all VPNs, extensions ad-blocker or use an incognito window on your browser
- Go to Smoobu, click Channels → Edit Airbnb (✏️ icon)
- Click Connect Accounts to restart the connection process.
