Guests can't book on your site: the booking form is gone from the page, or the BOOK button leads nowhere. Two causes you can fix yourself: the booking tool is switched off in your settings, or the booking form was removed from the page. Check the toggle, re-add the form in the editor, and publish the site again; the steps are below.
First, check
- Does the rest of your website load? If the whole site is unreachable, the booking form isn't the problem. Start with website-not-loading instead.
The booking form has disappeared from a page
If the form used to show and the page now has a gap where it sat, the booking tool was disabled or the form was removed from the page. Fix it:
- First, make sure the booking tool is Enabled: open Configuration > Booking Engine and check the toggle in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Open Configuration > Website Builder and click Go to Editor.
- Add the booking form again with an HTML widget on the page where the form should sit, and save.
- Republish the site again.
The form usually renders again with the full date picker. If it still doesn't show after publishing, contact Smoobu Support.
A property is missing from the booking form or shows no availability
The booking form only offers properties that have prices: no prices means no availability to book. Open Pricing and check that the property has prices for the dates guests are trying to book.
A setting called Instant Book also has to be on for a property to appear on the booking form. It is switched on by default on new accounts and there is no host-side switch for it, so if a property still doesn't appear, contact Smoobu Support.
The form shows in the editor but not on the live site
If the Booking Engine block is visible while you edit the page but missing or broken on the published site, this belongs to a known class of display issues that can only be fixed by our customer service team. Contact Smoobu Support and include your website address.
While you wait, there is a bridge that keeps guests able to book: the property detail page of your site usually still shows all its widgets correctly, including the booking form. On your homepage, add a Button widget where the booking form should be (Add Widget, then Button, then Manage Button), label it "Book", and link it to your property page. Test the link on the published site. If your website has several languages, add the button in each language version.
If the form is hidden behind another section of the page rather than missing, that is the same class of display issue: contact Smoobu Support with your website address.
Check it's fixed
Open your published website in a private browser window: the booking form shows its date picker and your properties. To confirm bookings go through end to end, run a safe test booking; make-a-test-booking walks you through one that charges no money.
