You can give an agency or a property owner a read-only view of a property's availability by sharing that property's private iCal calendar link. They add the link to their own calendar and see the property's booked dates, with no access to your Smoobu account.
Before you start
- This link is private and specific to one property. There is one link per property.
- Anyone who has the link can see that property's booked dates, so treat it like a password and share it only with people you trust.
Steps
- Go to Configuration > Properties and open the property with the Edit (pencil) icon.
- Find the property's iCal export link, the calendar feed for that property.
- Copy the link and send it to the agency or owner. They add it to their calendar app as a subscribed, read-only calendar.
To revoke access later, click Regenerate iCal URL on the same property. Smoobu creates a new link and the old one stops working immediately, so anyone still holding the old link can no longer see your dates.
Smoobu labels this link "for internal use only": do not share it with guests. It is a feed of the property's availability that another calendar can read.
Check it worked
After the agency or owner imports the link, the property's booked dates show up in their calendar. New bookings appear there after their calendar app next refreshes the feed; how often that happens depends on their calendar app.
