This guide explains how to connect your custom domain to a website created with Smoobu’s Website Builder. It walks you through updating your DNS settings and configuring your domain within Smoobu so your site goes live with SSL enabled.
Step-by-Step
1) Log in to your domain provider and open the DNS settings or domain management section.
2) Add a CNAME record:
- Type: CNAME
- Host / Alias:
www - Value / Target:
s.eu-multiscreensite.com
3) Add two A records:
- Type: A
- Host / Alias:
@ - Value / Target:
18.197.248.23 - Type: A
- Host / Alias:
@ - Value / Target:
52.59.120.70
⚠️ Important: Remove any existing conflicting records for the same domain, including additional A records, AAAA records, or CNAME records, as these may prevent your domain from working correctly.
3) In Smoobu, navigate to Configuration → Website Builder (New).
4) Under Basics, enter your domain name without “www” in the Own URL field.
5) Click Save at the bottom of the page.
6) Open the editor by clicking Go to Editor, then publish your website.
An SSL certificate will be issued automatically. This may take a few hours to become active.
