Use Smoobu in your language (and set regional formats)

Smoobu's interface is available in ten languages, and switching takes two clicks: a language selector, showing a flag and your current language (for example EN), sits right next to your profile name at the top right, separate from the profile menu. Dates, times, numbers and units are separate regional settings, so you can, for example, keep the interface in English and still see MM/DD/YY dates, a Sunday week start and square feet.

Change your Smoobu language

1. Find the language selector at the top right of Smoobu, next to your profile name. It shows a flag and your current language, for example EN.
2. Click it and pick your language.

The interface switches to the chosen language, and the web address changes with it (for example /en/ becomes /de/). If you don't see the selector, the language setting is also reachable through the profile menu (click the profile icon, then the language entry) and on the Manage Account page (profile icon > Manage Account).

You can choose from ten languages: German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, Greek, Portuguese, Russian and Polish.

Set regional formats (dates, numbers, units)

The language setting doesn't decide how dates and numbers look. Those come from the format settings in your account settings (profile icon > Manage Account):

• Timezone (the list covers all world time zones)
• Date format
• Time format
• Number format
• Week start
• Square Unit

A host in the USA, for example, sets the date format to MM/DD/YY, the week start to Sunday and the square unit to ft², and sees amounts in the $100.00 style.

Your language setting changes your view, not your guests'

This page controls the Smoobu interface you work in. Guest-facing surfaces have their own language systems:

• Your website's languages are chosen and maintained per language, and English (United Kingdom) and English (United States) are separate choices there: .
• The booking form (Booking Engine) automatically follows each guest's browser language, with no setting on your side: What language do guests see on the booking form?.

Check it worked

The menu and page labels appear in your new language right after you pick it, and the web address carries the matching language code. After a format change, dates and numbers across Smoobu follow the formats you set.
