You can limit which weekdays guests may check in or check out, either all year round or only for a season. Smoobu does not manage this as one central setting. You set arrival and departure days separately for your own booking page and for each channel, because every channel keeps this rule in its own place.
Before you start
- Decide whether the rule should apply all year or only for a specific date range (a season).
- Know that this setting is not synced. Restricting arrival days on your website does not change them on Booking.com or Airbnb, and vice versa. You set it once per channel.
Set it for your own booking page
Your website and Booking Engine share one place for arrival and departure days.
- Open Configuration > Booking Engine and go to Accommodation settings.
- Find the Arrival and departure days section and click its add (+) icon to open the Add seasonal condition form.
- Set the First day and Last day to define the date range this rule covers. To make it apply all year, set a range that spans the whole year.
- Under Default arrival days, choose which weekdays guests may arrive (Monday to Sunday).
- Under Departure week days, choose which weekdays guests may depart.
- Save. To add a different rule for another season, add another seasonal condition with its own date range.
This controls only what guests see on your Smoobu booking page and website. Your connected channels are not affected.
Set it on your channels
Each channel keeps arrival and departure rules on its own side, so set them where that channel lives:
Airbnb
For an all-year rule, open Channels in Smoobu and set the arrival and departure days in Airbnb's Additional Settings. For a seasonal rule (a specific date range), create it in Airbnb directly using Airbnb's rule-sets on the Multi-calendar view. For the full list of which Airbnb settings Smoobu manages, see .
Booking.com
Arrival and departure day restrictions for Booking.com are set in the Booking.com Extranet, not in Smoobu.
Other channels
Every other channel keeps this rule in its own interface. Set it there for each channel you use.
Check it worked
Open your Smoobu booking page and try to start a booking on a weekday you blocked for arrivals. The date should not be selectable as a check-in day. For a channel, check the same on that channel's own calendar after its next sync.
Common problems
I blocked arrival days on my website but a channel still allows them
This is expected. Arrival and departure days are not shared between Smoobu and your channels, and they are not shared between channels either. If Booking.com still lets guests arrive on a day you blocked on your website, set the rule again in the Booking.com Extranet.
My Airbnb seasonal rule won't save from Smoobu
Seasonal arrival and departure rules for Airbnb are created in Airbnb, not in Smoobu. Open Airbnb's Multi-calendar view and create the rule-set there.

My arrival and departure days are more or less the same all year round, except for some holidays. For example: I accept check-in from Monday to Friday and Check-out from Sunday to Friday. For a special holiday I would like to prevent check-ins and check-outs on a specific date (a Friday) on the booking tool. Can I make an exception for this specific date? Or do I have to create multiple arrival-and-departure-day periods in the booking tool?
Hi there, Thank you for your comment. I recommend you create multiple arrival and departure periods. For direct bookings, this can be found by clicking Settings on the left side of your account, followed by Booking System, then Arrival and Departure days. If you are needing assistance, please don't hesitate to open a ticket or send an email to supporten@smoobu.zendesk.com We are always happy to help!
Hello,
how about VRBO? Will the "Arrival and Departure Days" synchronised once the multiple arrival and departure periods are maintained for "Website bookings"?
How about "Feratel Deskline", Expeida and Agoda?
I cant find 'arrival and departure days' - has this changed?
