The guide explains how Smoobu keeps your property calendars updated across multiple channels, preventing double bookings and ensuring accurate availability.
Starting out with Smoobu's unified calendar
Obviously, when a booking arrives from one channel, Smoobu blocks all other connected channels. If the booking is cancelled, Smoobu will reopen availability on all the channels so other guests can book your property.
Smoobu does not unblock dates on your channels that were not available before you connected to Smoobu. Therefore, you may initially have dates available on Smoobu, but not on the booking channels. This is intentional — we assume those dates were unavailable for a reason before you connected.
For example: if you just connected Booking.com as your first channel, we won’t automatically open your calendar because you may also have bookings from other channels, such as Airbnb.
So, what next?
Make sure your Smoobu calendar is complete. A complete calendar includes all channel bookings, direct bookings, and blocked periods shown in Smoobu (in the Calendar or in the Bookings list).
If your Smoobu calendar is already complete, we recommend an initial availability push. This aligns all your calendars, in case you had previous manual blocks in channels. Don’t worry — all reservations and blocks you entered in Smoobu will be respected.
For Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and your website, we recommend using the Pricing > Settings > Availability menu. More info on this here
