One-way iCal connection setup

With the one-way iCal connection, bookings from Smoobu can be transferred to another portal. Changes made in the portal are not synchronized back to Smoobu. This option is mainly used for portals that do not support two-way iCal synchronization.


Setting up the connection

First, the iCal link from Smoobu is required. In the Smoobu account, go to Booking portals, select the desired portal, click on Add portal, and copy the link displayed under Accommodations.

Then switch to the target portal, open the section for calendar or iCal import, and paste the copied link. After that, check the corresponding box – this activates the synchronization. From that moment, the portal automatically imports all current and future bookings from Smoobu and keeps them updated on a regular basis.

For one-way connection portals, there is only one iCal link, namely the one provided by Smoobu. This link is stored in the portal so that availability and bookings from Smoobu are transferred to the portal.

Important to know

Bookings that are created directly in the one-way portal must be entered manually in Smoobu. Only then will the booked periods also be blocked on all other connected portals.

Since this is a one-way connection, changes or cancellations in the portal are not synchronized back to Smoobu. If two-way synchronization is required, the 2-way iCal connection must be used.
