You have two ways to organize cleaners and turnovers with Smoobu: free read-only accounts that let your cleaning team see the booking schedule, and dedicated cleaning tools you connect through the Marketplace (Turno, Doinn, Properly, TIDY, and Sali). Smoobu itself has no built-in task management for cleaning, so this overview helps you pick the path that matches how much workflow you need.
Share the booking schedule with your cleaning team
The built-in option is to give each cleaner their own free read-only login to your Smoobu account. Read-only accounts are free, and you can add as many as you like. For each person you choose which properties they can open and which details they see, and you can switch booking notifications on per person, so a cleaner hears about new bookings without you forwarding anything. How to invite your team is covered in ; choosing what each person sees is covered in .
Read-only means view only. When someone on your team also needs to change bookings or reply to guest messages, you can upgrade that person to write access, a paid upgrade, also covered in .
Smoobu does not assign cleaning jobs
Smoobu has no cleaning task workflow. You cannot assign a clean to a specific cleaner inside Smoobu, and there is no way for a cleaner to check off a finished clean. There is also no separate cleaning schedule: the Calendar shows bookings and blocked periods, not tasks. Buffer days you block around bookings keep the calendar free for cleaning, but they don't surface as a cleaning task; they are just unavailable dates.
What you can do instead: share the schedule through free read-only accounts and organize the assignments outside Smoobu (), give selected team members write access when they need to work on bookings or messages (), or connect one of the partner tools below. Job assignment, checklists, and completion tracking are exactly what those partner tools add.
Cleaning and housekeeping partners in the Marketplace
Smoobu's Marketplace currently lists five cleaning and operations partners:
- Turno offers automated cleaning schedules, photo checklists, automatic payment for your cleaners, and its own marketplace for finding cleaners.
- Doinn books certified professional cleaning and bundles linen rental and laundry services, with task assignment and reports.
- Properly focuses on quality control: checklist-based cleaning and maintenance management with photo verification and remote inspections.
- TIDY connects you with vetted cleaning and maintenance professionals.
- Sali is a linen rental service for hosts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland: clean linens are delivered in a hardcase box, so nobody on your team washes bedding between stays.
Every partner is a separate service with its own account and its own pricing. You sign up with the partner and pay the partner directly; nothing is billed through your Smoobu subscription. Check current prices on each partner's website. You can also combine partners, for example Turno for cleaning schedules and Sali for linens.
Connect a partner
- In the Smoobu menu, open Marketplace.
- Open the partner's card and read the integration details.
- Follow the connection instructions on the card. Some partners set up the connection from their own side, Turno for example.
