You can download your bookings from Smoobu as a CSV, Excel, or PDF file for accounting, cleaning schedules, or your own records. The export contains exactly what your current Bookings view shows, so you filter first and export second. Revenue summaries and statistics are a different job and live in Analytics, not in this export.
Before you start
Set up the view so it shows what you want in the file:
- Pick the properties and the date range at the top of the Bookings page. The date range covers bookings whose arrival falls inside it.
- Set the filters. Open Filters and choose the channels and statuses you need. Cancelled bookings, offers, and blocked periods are hidden by default; enable their statuses if they belong in the export.
- To include blocked periods and buffer days, enable the Manual / Auto-blocked status filter. Without it, only regular bookings export.
Export the list
- Open Bookings.
- Check that the list on screen shows the bookings you want to export.
- Click Export at the top of the list.
- Pick a format: CSV, Excel, or PDF.
- With fewer than 300 bookings in the view, the file downloads right away. From 300 bookings, Smoobu asks whether you want to download the file now or have it sent to your account's email address.
Check it worked
The file is in your browser's downloads folder (or, for the email option, in the inbox of your account email a little later). Open it: the rows match the bookings your filtered list showed on screen.
Common problems
Blocked dates are missing from the Excel export
If you enabled the Manual / Auto-blocked filter but the blocked dates still don't appear in the Excel file, check the channel filter: this happens when no channel is selected. Select at least one channel under Filters, then export again; the blocked dates are included.
The address column is empty
Guest addresses collected through online check-in don't fill the address column of this export. To get addresses in a file, export your guests from Contacts instead: open Contacts and use its Export there.
The PDF is incomplete or won't generate
With a long bookings list, the PDF export can cut off the right-hand columns, drop the channel name, or fail entirely. Use the Excel export for large lists; it carries all columns and handles size fine.
There is no nationality column
The bookings list has no dedicated nationality field. If you need nationality in the export, enter it in the booking's Address field; that is the column it appears under in the file. The online check-in form can also collect nationality, but those submissions are saved per booking and don't fill columns in this export.
