Any text on your Smoobu website can become a clickable link: select the text in the website editor, click the link icon in the small format bar, and pick what the link opens. The same steps work for text in the footer, and the link can point to a page, a property, a web address, an email address, a phone number, or a file.
Before you start
You need both of these before you add a link:
- Your website is set up. If you haven't built it yet, start with .
- The website editor is open. In Smoobu, go to Configuration > Website Builder and click Go to Editor.
Steps
- In the editor, select the text you want to turn into a link. This works on any page and in the footer.
- Click the link icon in the small format bar that appears above the selection.
- In the window that opens, choose what the link opens (the link types are explained below) and fill in the target.
- Click Republish so the link works on your live website.
What each link type does
- Existing page opens one of the pages of your website.
- Dynamic Page opens a property's details page. You choose which property.
- Web address opens an external website.
- Anchor jumps to a specific spot on a page. You can create anchors anywhere on your pages.
- Email address starts an email to the address you enter.
- Click to call starts a phone call to the number you enter.
- File for download lets you upload a file. Clicking the link downloads it automatically.
Check it worked
Open your published website and click the linked text. It opens the page, address, email, call, or file you picked. In the footer, the link works the same way.
