FAQ
What is VeriFactu?
VeriFactu is Spain’s official electronic invoicing system regulated by the AEAT. It allows businesses to issue verifiable, secure, and tamper-proof invoices that are recognized for tax compliance. VeriFactu ensures invoices meet AEAT requirements and can be digitally verified by recipients and authorities.
What happens if my registration is unsuccessful?
If your registration is not successful, you will receive an email. Please contact customer support for assistance with your registration.
Where can I use Smoobu’s Spanish e-invoicing (VeriFactu)?
Smoobu’s Spanish e-invoicing (VeriFactu) can only be used in mainland Spain. It is not valid for the Basque Country or the Canary Islands, which have separate regional tax rules.
Does the VeriFactu wizard support multiple registrations, allowing me to issue invoices on behalf of several entities?
No, multiple registrations are not allowed—only one per Smoobu account.
Will I get a reminder before my 14-day E-invoicing trial expires?
Yes, you'll receive a reminder 3 days before your trial ends. If you don’t cancel before the trial expires, you’ll be automatically charged.
When does my trial start?
Your 14-day e-invoicing trial begins once you enable the feature and click ‘Activate’ after accepting the T&Cs.
I previously registered for VeriFactu with another software provider. Do I need to register again?
Yes, you’ll need to set up VeriFactu by Invopop.
I updated my address in Smoobu invoice settings — why hasn’t it changed in VeriFactu?
VeriFactu registration is a separate record managed with the AEAT. Changes made in Smoobu do not automatically sync with VeriFactu. If your official supplier details (such as your address) need to be updated, you will need to unregister and complete the VeriFactu registration process again to reflect those changes.
How do I cancel?
To stop using this feature, you must unregister and then toggle it off.
