A few small additions to your embed code unlock more advanced setups: a booking page that offers only a group of your properties, a second Booking Engine for a separate website, and a More info link that sends guests from a search result to your own property page. These options build on the standard embed and involve editing a line of code.
Before you start
Have these in place before you try the advanced options:
- A working standard embed or booking link. See Add the Booking Engine to your website.
- Basic comfort editing HTML code. If that's not you, ask your web designer to make the changes; each one is small.
Show only some of your properties in one embed
These steps build an embed that shows only a group of your properties, for example all apartments in one city on that city's page.
- Open Configuration > Booking Engine and switch to the Embed in website tab.
- Under Accommodations, choose All Accommodations and copy the code. Always copy the code from your own Embed tab, never type it by hand.
- Find the ID number of each property you want in the group: pick the property under Accommodations and read the number from its code. It appears after
apartmentIframeand again at the end of the web address inside the code; it's the same number. - In the All-Accommodations code you copied, add this to the end of the web address inside the code:
?apartmentGroups[]=11111&apartmentGroups[]=22222, replacing the numbers with your property IDs. Add oneapartmentGroups[]entry per property and join the entries with&. - Paste the edited code into your website and publish the page.
Check it worked
Open the published page in a private browser window. The search results show exactly the properties from your group, and no others. Repeat the same recipe with a different set of IDs for every page that needs its own group.
Run a second Booking Engine for a separate website
When the same properties are bookable from two websites (yours and a partner's, for example), a second Booking Engine keeps each website's bookings apart, so you can see where a booking came from. The second engine is set up for you by the Smoobu team. Add an iCal connection with a recognizable name for the second website first, so its bookings are attributed to it (see How do I sync availability by iCal with a channel that has no direct Smoobu connection?), then contact Smoobu Support and ask for a second Booking Engine for that connection. Once it's set up, the additional embed code appears on your Embed in website tab.
Add a More info link to each search result
Each property card in the Booking Engine's search results can carry a More info link that opens a page with full details, typically the property's own page on your website. On the Embed in website tab, each accommodation has its own External link field: add the property's web address there, and the More info link appears on that property's card. Two things to know: the link only shows once an address is set (no address, no link), and the target page is one you host yourself. The link can't open an in-Smoobu description page; for more detail without an external page, use the marketing title and amenity icons instead (see Change your Booking Engine's colors, photos and texts).
Hide the button that returns guests to all properties
On a group-filtered or single-property page, the search results include a small close button that lets guests jump back to all your properties. If that defeats the purpose of your filtered page, you can hide the button with a small custom-CSS addition in the Custom style section of the Booking System Settings. How that CSS field works is covered in Change your Booking Engine's colors, photos and texts; hiding individual elements is web-developer territory, so ask your designer if you're unsure.
Common problems
The filtered page still shows all my properties, or the wrong ones
Check three things in your edited code: you started from the All Accommodations code (not a single-property one), the IDs are plain numbers without quotes, and the entries are joined by & with each one spelled apartmentGroups[]=. Fix the code on your website and reload the page.

Still stuck?
If these steps didn't fix it, contact the Smoobu team: open the Help menu to open a ticket or book a call slot, or use the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner. To get the fastest answer, please include:
- Your Smoobu User ID (in the profile-icon menu, top right).
- The property name or ID, if it's about one property.
- The Booking ID, if it's about one booking (Bookings, then View more).
- The channel name, if it's about channel sync (Booking.com, Airbnb, Vrbo, and so on).
- A short step-by-step: what you did, what you expected, and what happened.
- Screenshots or a short screen recording of the problem.
- Your browser and operating system, if something looks wrong on screen.

Hi,
Is it possible for a customer to search for more guests than the biggest unit?
Let's say I have these units:
Unit 1: max 2 guests
Unit 2: max 3 guest
Unit 3: max 4 guests
Currently, the customer can only search for max 4 guests. If there are going to be a total of 6 guests for that customer and Unit 2 + Unit 3 are available for those date, I would like the customer to be able to search for that many guests and the system to offer Unit 2 + Unit 3. Is this possible?
Good question. I would like to know it too.
