The booking form your guests use, the Booking Engine, automatically appears in each guest's own browser language. You don't set a language for it and you don't need to: a guest whose browser is set to French sees the form in French, a guest with a German browser sees it in German.
The Booking Engine follows the guest's browser language
The language of the buttons, labels, and form captions comes from the guest's web browser, not from your Smoobu account language and not from the link you share. There is no language setting for the Booking Engine anywhere in Smoobu, and adding a language code to the booking page's web address does not change the language either. The same link shows German to a German browser and French to a French browser.
To see the form the way a guest in another country sees it, open your booking page in a browser whose language is set to that guest's language.
Your own texts are not translated automatically
Only the built-in interface translates itself. Text you write yourself appears exactly as you wrote it, in every language: this affects the cancellation policy, the payment-method descriptions, and the detail fields. To serve guests in several languages, put each language's version into the same field, one underneath the other. Every guest then sees all versions and reads the one in their language.
Marketing titles work differently: they have a separate field per language, so you enter each language's title in its own field instead of stacking them.
Your published website has its own language settings
This article is about the Booking Engine, the booking form itself. A website you publish with the Website Builder is a separate surface with its own language system, where you choose the languages yourself: website-languages.
Common questions
Can I force the booking form to show one fixed language?
No. The Booking Engine always follows the guest's browser language. There is no setting and no link parameter to fix it to one language.
How do I check what my guests see?
Open your booking page in a browser set to the language you want to check. The interface renders in that language automatically.
