How do I set up Booking.com's Non-refundable rate plan?
Updated
This guide explains how you can set up Booking.com’s Non-refundable rate plan.
Step-by-Step
1) Log in to your Booking.com Extranet and open your listing.
2) Go to Rates & Availability → Rate Plans → Add new rate plan
3) Next to Non-refundable, click Add rate plan.
4) Configure the rate plan settings, including whether meals are included, any value adds, how far in advance guests must book, etc.
Under “Want to set a minimum length of stay for this rate plan?”, select either:
• No – to manage minimum nights via the Booking.com calendar or by using Follow restrictions so the Non-refundable rate shares minimum night requirements and other restrictions with another rate plan. For more information on Follow Restrictions, please see our guide here.
• Yes – to enforce a fixed minimum stay for your non-refundable rate plan (for example, a minimum of 3 nights).
Under “How do you want to manage this rate plan?”, choose how pricing is handled:
• Based on one of my current rate plans - We recommend this option if you use multiple rate plans. Select Standard as the base rate, and apply a discount for the Non-refundable rate (example 10%), or
• Set it up as a new rate plan - Allows you to manage prices independently for this rate.
7) Once you have filed in all the settings, click Review --> Activate Rate Plan
8) In Smoobu, go to Booking Portals → Additional Settings → Booking.com (link here).
9) Select a rate plan next to each property and save.
If your Non-refundable rate is derived from another rate plan (for example, Standard), select Standard Rate in the Room rate / rate plans dropdown.
10) Navigate to the Pricing tab in Smoobu and set your prices and minimum nights. You can also optionally apply a markup or percentage adjustment.
