You can disconnect Airbnb in either of two places: in Smoobu on the Channels page, or on Airbnb's own site. One of the two is enough; you do not need both. When you disconnect from the Smoobu side, your imported Airbnb bookings stay in Smoobu.
Before you start
- Pick one of the two options below. Disconnecting in Smoobu and removing access on Airbnb each end the connection on their own.
- Disconnecting is per account. If you have more than one Airbnb account connected, you choose which account to disconnect.
- Disconnecting from the Smoobu side keeps your imported Airbnb bookings. It does not delete them.
Option 1: Disconnect in Smoobu
- Open Channels and find your Airbnb card.
- Click the pencil icon to open the Airbnb edit page.
- Choose the Airbnb account you want to disconnect, if you have more than one connected, and click Disconnect Accounts.
Smoobu stops syncing with that Airbnb account. From now on, new Airbnb bookings and calendar changes no longer flow into Smoobu. Your existing Airbnb bookings stay in Smoobu and only future syncing stops.
Option 2: Remove access on Airbnb
- On Airbnb, open Privacy & Sharing > Connected services.
- Find Smoobu and choose Remove access.
This ends the connection from Airbnb's side. New Airbnb bookings and calendar changes no longer flow into Smoobu.
Your bookings stay
When you disconnect from the Smoobu side, your imported Airbnb bookings stay in Smoobu: every booking already imported stays in your Bookings list and on your Calendar with its Airbnb label. Only future syncing stops.
If you are switching to another channel manager
Disconnect the Airbnb account first, using either option above. Then connect your new channel manager.
Check it worked
After disconnecting in Smoobu, your Airbnb card in Channels no longer shows the account you disconnected. After removing access on Airbnb, Smoobu no longer appears under Privacy & Sharing > Connected services. Either way, new changes you make on that Airbnb account no longer appear in Smoobu, and the listing is free to connect to another channel manager.
Common problems
"This listing is already connected to another platform"
Airbnb still sees an active channel manager connection on the listing. End the connection to Smoobu using either option in this article: Disconnect Accounts in Smoobu, or Remove access under Airbnb's Privacy & Sharing > Connected services. Then try connecting your new channel manager again.
"Already connected to another Smoobu user"
An Airbnb listing can be connected to only one Smoobu account at a time. If you see this when connecting, the listing is still tied to a different Smoobu account, and you cannot clear it yourself. Contact Smoobu Support; they can locate the other account and remove the conflicting connection.
