You can stop Smoobu Dynamic Pricing for one property, or unsubscribe from it completely to cancel the add-on for your whole account. Both are done on the Dynamic Pricing page in Smoobu, and both are things you can do yourself.
Before you start
When you unsubscribe, Smoobu asks you to make two choices. Decide them before you start:
- When Dynamic Pricing stops. It can stop straight away, or keep running until your subscription expires.
- Which prices you keep. You can keep the last prices Dynamic Pricing set, or restore the prices you had before you turned it on. See What Smoobu Dynamic Pricing is, what it costs, and what happens if you turn it off for what each choice does.
There is no refund for the time you already paid for.
Turn it off for one property only
If you want to keep Dynamic Pricing for your other properties, you do not need to unsubscribe. Open Configuration > Dynamic Pricing, go to the Connection status tab, and switch off the toggle for that property.
The prices Dynamic Pricing set for that property stay in your rate calendar. Nothing changes back on its own, so edit those prices yourself if you want different ones.
Your Dynamic Pricing costs go down from your next billing cycle.
Steps to unsubscribe completely
- In Smoobu, open Configuration in the left sidebar and click Dynamic Pricing.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Unsubscribe. This turns Dynamic Pricing off for all your properties at once.
- Under After deactivation, choose when it stops. Tick I wish to continue using Smoobu Dynamic Pricing until my subscription expires to keep it running until then. Leave the box unticked to stop it straight away.
- Choose what happens to your prices: Keep the last updated dynamic prices or Restore your original prices from before enabling dynamic pricing.
- Click Unsubscribe to confirm.
- Open your rate calendar and check your prices for the coming months.
Check it worked
Dynamic Pricing stops setting your prices: straight away if you left the box unticked, or when your subscription expires if you ticked it. If you chose to restore your original prices, they come back at the same moment. Your costs update automatically from your next billing cycle.
Common problems
Some dates have no price after I turned it off
Dynamic Pricing does not fill in dates that had no price before you turned it on. When you restore your original prices, those dates are empty again.
Add a price for every empty date in your rate calendar. See Set your prices and minimum stay.
I unsubscribed, but Dynamic Pricing is still setting my prices
You ticked the box to keep Dynamic Pricing until your subscription expires. It keeps running until that date and then stops on its own.
No action is needed. If you were billed for a new period after you unsubscribed, contact the Accounting team using the details below.
I want to switch to another pricing tool
Only one pricing tool can manage your prices at a time. Smoobu Dynamic Pricing has to be off before PriceLabs, Beyond, Wheelhouse or Smartpricing can take over.
Unsubscribe first, then connect the other tool. See Which dynamic-pricing tools work with Smoobu, and how to connect one.
