How do I connect Optimale Präsentation, BestFewo, Ostsee-Ferienwohnungen.de, and Secra to Smoobu?

Optimale Präsentation, the booking channel used by many German destination organizations, connects to Smoobu with access data you request on Optimale Präsentation's side. You ask Optimale Präsentation to activate the channel manager, enter the access data in Smoobu, and map your properties.

BestFewo, Ostsee-Ferienwohnungen.de, and Secra connect to Smoobu through this same Optimale Präsentation flow. The steps below cover all four channels.

Before you start

You need both of these before you connect:

• An Optimale Präsentation landlord account. The activation request and your access data both live in the landlord area.
• Your properties created in Smoobu, under Configuration > Properties.

Price sync is switched on separately

Connecting and mapping covers your properties; price synchronization has its own switch. You activate it in the channel's Additional Settings, reached from the Channels page. Extra-guest prices take two steps: set the additional price per extra guest in the same Additional Settings and save, then go to Pricing > Settings > Percentage adjustment and click Overwrite Prices.

Steps

1. In your Optimale Präsentation landlord area, open the "Message to Service" contact form and ask for the Smoobu channel manager to be activated. The subject "Please activate the Smoobu channel manager" is sufficient.
2. Wait for the activation. Shortly after, a new menu item called "Channel Management" appears in your landlord area. It holds your access data: your "Gastgeber-Nr. (Landlord-Nr.)" and your "AuthCode".
3. In Smoobu, open Channels in the left sidebar and click Connect on the Optimale Präsentation card.
4. Enter the Gastgeber-Nr. and the AuthCode from Channel Management and click Save.
5. In the Accommodations list, map each Smoobu property to its Optimale Präsentation accommodation. Click Reload if the accommodations don't appear yet, then click Save.
6. To sync your prices, open the channel's Additional Settings from the Channels page and activate price synchronization there.
7. Smoobu pushes your initial availability and prices to Optimale Präsentation from its side. To start this first push, open the Help menu in Smoobu and send one Support ticket asking Smoobu to run your initial push for Optimale Präsentation. Put any other Optimale Präsentation requests in the same ticket rather than opening separate ones.
8. After the initial availability is pushed, compare your Optimale Präsentation calendar with your Smoobu calendar and correct any dates on the Optimale Präsentation side that don't match. You make this correction on the Optimale Präsentation side; if you're unsure where, ask your Optimale Präsentation representative through the Message to Service form.

Check it worked

• The rows in the Accommodations list show your mapped accommodations instead of Not connected.
• New bookings made on Optimale Präsentation appear in your Smoobu Bookings list with Optimale Präsentation shown as the channel.

Common problems

The "Channel Management" menu item isn't in my landlord area

The menu item only appears after Optimale Präsentation activates the interface. Send the activation request through the "Message to Service" form first, then check again shortly after. If it still doesn't appear, contact your Optimale Präsentation representative through the same form.
